    The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Madhya Pradesh Police on Monday raided the residence of the Seeds and Farm Development Corporation's manager and recovered documents of property worth over `5 crore. The raid was conducted in the morning at Amar Singh Chouhan's residence. "Till now, documents of properties worth over `10 crore including a huge bungalow in a posh colony, shops and 15 acre farmland near Bhopal were recovered from his possession," EOW sources said.

    Details of two plots, one each in Satna and Aligarh (UP) were found, a revolver, jewellery worth `one lakh and `40,000 in cash were also recovered from a locker, the sources said, adding, further probe is on. The bank accounts and lockers of the assistant manager are yet to be opened.

    According to the sources, the Gulmohar Colony residence of Amar Singh Chouhan who is posted as assistant manager in the Seed and Firm Development Corporation since 1997 was raided by the EOW sleuths in the morning.

    During the raids, the documents were seized and in the initial investigations properties
    worth to the tune of `5 crore were found. Chouhan's property include an luxurious three
    storey house, two luxury cars, eight to nine acres of land in Ratibarh, Khajuri, Gol and Bharat Nagar.

    The land rates in all these areas is above `one crore per acre. Other properties of Chouhan include a shop in the Mansarowar Complex, 22 bigha land in Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) with three shops constructed on it and a poultry farm in Satna. He was also found involved in property deals from Bawadiya Kalan village, according to sources he used to do property business with a builder.

    A team of the EOW would go to Aligarh for investigating his property. While his half a
    dozen bank lockers would also be searched. The EOW expects to recover cash and
    jewellery to the tune of crores of rupees from the bank lockers of Chouhan that are expected to be searched on Tuesday.
