Latest News from India - Letter by VS on lottery missing: CM

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Oommen Chandy informed assembly that the letters send by former minister VS Achuthanandan seeking CBI probe on lottery issue is missing. The letters were not found in CM's files, a search was conducted in law department, the letters were also not found there. CM informed opposition leader about missing letter while speaking in the discussion on lottery issue. VS during the discussion said as the name of his family was dragged into the controversy; there must be complete probe on the issue. Chandy who was in hospital due to fever reached the last session of talks. In this VS intervened and said if the files are missing the same should be asked from the central government. He said he never took any files with him and if there were copies in his personal file, he would give the same. Giving reply to the same CM said the letter must be with tax department, but that were not there.
