Thrissur: Meet Jerry, a doctor, who has dedicated his life and time for the needy by stepping into the pain and palliative care units. The doctor, who worked in many hospitals abroad, quit his plum job with a salary of -6 lakh a month to serve the needy. Presently, he is working at Puthukkad and would be reaching out to the bedridden people of Anandapuram, Marathakkara, Kadukutty, Alur and Kodungaloor every week.

Jerry is the son of Joseph and Rosily from Puthukkad. Serving many hospitals for the last 6 years, he held the responsibility of Anaesthasia and Palliative care section in Qatar. In 2010 January, he returned back to Kerala and became active in palliative care. This doctor yearns for a peaceful death for the bedridden people, mostly afflicted with cancer, AIDS and accident victims.

More than medicines, the bedridden needs attention and care. So he spends hours bedsides them. Sometimes fulfilling their small wishes and sometimes hearing patiently to them. His friends in foreign countries are also helping him financially to satisfy his needs. He is a bachelor and believes Christ is his model. The doctor can be contacted at 9895210727.
