The sketch of a suspect in Wednesday’s serial blasts in Mumbai has been prepared, a senior ATS official said on Sunday.
“The sketch of the suspect is ready. It will be circulated among the select and top investigating officials. It will not be released to the public,” said the ATS official.
The sketch will also be shown to the select police informers to get identification of the suspect, the official said refusing to divulge any further details.
The sketch was prepared based on an eyewitness account at one of the three blast sites, the official said.
Nineteen people were killed in the three blasts and 130 were injured.

In another development, Fayaz Usmani, brother of 2008 Gujarat blast suspect Afzal Usmani, died in hospital after being questioned by police in connection with the blasts here.
His family has alleged that he was tortured in custody
Police said Fayaz Usmani, a resident of suburban Govandi, who was picked up for questioning yesterday, died in a hospital in the wee hours today.
Dr Ryan Kumar, a doctor at the hospital said, “He died due to brain haemorrhage. This condition is usually when a person is exposed to some kind of shock“.
Doctors said he had no external injuries on his body.
Azeem Usmani, the victim’s son alleged, “My father was picked up for questioning and pressurised during interrogation. They are to blame for his death“.
However, the Mumbai Police denied the charge.
Rajasthan ATS in Mumbai
A team of Rajasthan’s Anti-terrorism Squad is in Mumbai to probe any link between Wednesday’s serial blast in the financial capital and the bombings in the Pink city in 2008.
“We have sent a three-member team led by a Dy. SP rank official to Mumbai to probe any link or similarity with the 2008 Jaipur bomb blast case,” additional SP, ATS, Satyendra Singh said on Sunday.
The team would collect samples of explosives and study the technique used in the serial blasts in Mumbai and examine if it has any similarity with the Jaipur serial blasts, Mr. Singh said.
The team would also examine banned outfit SIMI’s link with the blast, he said.
Serial blasts had rocked Jaipur in 2008 leaving around 50 people dead.
