Kochi : Oceanarium Project in India, which was poised to emerge as a major tourist attraction in this business city of Kerala, was being launched on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.The project, first- of-its-kind, was an initiative of state Fisheries Resources Management Society (FIRMA) and would be established on 40 acres of government land at Puthuvypeen, a KSIDC release said here today.
Kerala Government had engaged Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (KSIDC) as bid manager for this prestigious and innovative project which envisages setting up of State-of-the art fourth generation Oceanarium and aims at propagating awareness about marine environment and bio-diversity, the release said.
The proposed Oceanarium would offer unique underwater experience by showcasing aquarium alley, deep sea tunnel, polar pavilion, shark tank, touch tank and other entertainment facilities, it added.
