    Latest News from India - Student from Kozhikode among three drowned in sea

    Mangalore: Three students, among a 7-member gang, who were enjoying their holidays at Murudeswar were drowned in sea. The group came from Bangalore and one among the deceased belongs to Kozhikode. The deceased are Dinraj, 19, son of Rajan Nambiar and Jyothikala from Vadakara, Vivek Venkitaramanayya, 18, son of SV Devan from Banaglore and Thejas Manjunath, 20, son of Manjunath from Bangalore.All of them are BBA students from the Bangalore NSAM College. They were playing volleyball on the sea shore when the ball rolled into the sea. Thejas went to pick it up and was drowned. Dinraj, Vivek and Deepak tried to save him. Though Deepak was saved by his friends, the other two went missing. Dinraj's father Rajan Nambiar, after retiring from MES Bangalore, was residing at Amrit Nagar, Bangalore. Jithin Raj and Niji are Dinraj's siblings.
