Thiruvananthapuram: The South West monsoon has been weak over Kerala with only moderate rain occurring at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Munnar (Idukki district), Vadakara (Kozhikode) three each and Agathi (Lakshadweep), Chalakudy (Thrissur) and Vythiri (Wayanad) two each. Fourteen other stations reported rainfall of 1 cm.
Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in the state and at a few places in Lakshadweep.
Isolated heavy rainfall would occur in the districts of Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram and Palakkad.
Strong onshore winds from north-westerly direction with speed occasionally reaching 45 to 55 KMPH were likely along and off Kerala coast and Lakshadweep area during the next 24 hours.
