Latest News from India - Muhammad and Rohit calls from the hijacked ship

Kannur: Rohit and Muhammad Nanki, who are the two Malayalees who also figure in the 21 Indian sailor's team which was hijacked by Somali pirates on board on Saturday from near an Omani port, called their home on Monday . Mohammed called by Monday noon and Rohit called to his home on Monday morning. Relatives are feeling relieved after getting the calls. Rohith said they don't know where the ship is, but said the hijackers are behaving decently and they were given food. Muhammad said to his family as not to fear and everything would be fie within some days. He spoke to wife Suhara and children. Rohit, 26, son of Jalaja from Thalikkulam and Muhammad Nanki from Mogral, Kasargod, are the two Malayalees. Rohith spoke to his mother on July 27 when the ship reached Salala. On Saturday Rohit's company official called and collected his brother Sachin's number from Jalaja. But later Jalaja came to know about the incident from TV channels.

Muhammad is the cook in the ship. Suhara is his wife and Abdul Muneer, Muhammad Shafeer and Khadeejathu Musheera are his children.
