Thiruvananthapuram: The allotment process to self-financing medical managements would be completed by August 31. The deal reached with the managements would be signed on Monday. As per the deal between the managements and the government, among the 50% seats provided to the government, only 10 % would be for open category. The decline is a result of allotting 15% seats to the community run by the institution. But at the same time the admissions to these 15 % seats are made from the government list, so the admission process is expected to be fair and transparent. Students with poor financial background would be benefitted with the 20 % quota with a fee of Rs 25,000. Students from BPL families and other socially and economically backward castes would be given admission in this sector.
5 % seats have been set aside for SC with a fee decided by the Muhammad committee.
