Mancheri: MI Shanvas MP said that K Madhavan Nair, who had made an active presence during the freedom movement days, was a true national leader. He was speaking after inaugurating the K Madhvaan Nair memorial conference in Mancheri mini civil station. This was jointly organized by Mathrubhumi and Mancheri public library. Shanavas said Madhavan Nair had accomplished commendable service as a freedom fighter and was a associate of Gandhiji. He was also one of the prominent Mathrubhumi founders. History still reminds us of the effort from Madhavan Nair who tried to avoid blood shed during Malabar riots. The younger generation comes to know about the facts about Malabar riots through his writings.
