Lalu, supporters to march to Raj Bhavan
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad will lead a rally of his supporters to Raj Bhawan in Patna on October 11 against the Nitish Government’s ‘anti-poor policies’ coinciding with veteran BJP leader LK Advani’s yatra that begins from Bihar.
“What could we do? Our march was planned in July much before Advani’s yatra. But it will be a unique coincidence that we’ll be hitting the roads the same day when Advani will begin his Rath Yatra,” Lalu said.
The RJD chief recalled that he was the one who had halted the Ram Rath Yatra of the BJP leader in 1990 and sent him to Masanjore dam guest house in Dumka under custody.
“Now see what Nitish Kumar is doing. He is going to flag off Advani’s yatra, something I had not allowed to happen in Bihar when in power. This has exposed Nitish Kumar’s political leanings and his true face,” Lalu claimed.
The former Bihar Chief Minister slammed Nitish, saying the latter is two-faced, “but this act of his will expose his real face before the people of the State.”
“I too will soon embark on a statewide tour launching agitation against the Nitish Kumar Government which has reduced itself only to a Government of promises…sirf ghoshnayon ki sarkar hai,” he said.
Slamming the Bihar Chief Minister’s proposed Sewa Yatra from the first week of November, the RJD leaders said it was a farce. “Nitishji sewa yatra per nahi balki mewa yatra par ja rahe hain,” RJD leader Ram Kripal Yadav remarked.
