Hyderabad: England batsman Jonny Bairstow, who played a key role with a breezy century in the team's massive victory against Hyderabad XI in the second warm-up match here Tuesday, said the team would be going into the one-day series against India on a high of two wins.He, however, said it would be a massive challenge.
'It is obviously going to be massive challenge. Coming to India playing in the backyard of world champions is a challenge. We are pleased with our preparations so far. But without doubt it will be a completely different challenge and a very tough one for the side.'
'On the whole, we are pleased with the way we have been preparing. Hopefully we will go into it on the high of the two wins we had,' he told reporters after England won the second warm-up match.
Bairstow, who was unbeaten on 104, said every one contributed. 'It was fantastic clinical performance by the boys. We should be delighted with the way we started to post a good total,' he said.
The batsman, who hit the six on the last ball of the innings to complete his ton, said he did not know that he was on 98. He pointed out that the scoreboard in the ground was small and he did not notice his individual score.
