    Bike-borne miscreants loot shop

    Two bike borne thieves barged into a grocer’s shop and ran away with `1,100 cash in broad daylight on Sunday morning in Harshvardhan Nagar, under Kamla Nagar police station. However, when chased by the owner of the shop they have thrown `8,880 and fled away with remaining amount.

    Police have registered a case and the hunts for the thieves are going on. Police informed that that Sundar Lal Sharma, resident of the Harshvardhan Nagar runs a shop in a locality with his son Santosh. In the morning at around 9 am, two bike borne miscreants reached the shop, asked for milk packet, and handed over `1,000 currency note. They further asked for five bulbs, when Sharma turned to the miscreants took the `11,000 cash from the counter of the shop and started running from their bike.

    Sharma after checking his cash counter raised alarm and started running after them. His son also reached at the spot and cashed them with a bike.

    At about 200 metre, the miscreants have thrown `8,880 cash and fled away with the remaining amount.

    Police also reached the spot after some time and started investigations. Meanwhile, a case has been registered under section 380 of IPC and till now no arrest have been made.
