Higher Education and Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma welcomed villagers at a function at remote village Tinasyai in Vidisha district and also garlanded elderly persons besides tying turbans to their heads.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State Government is conducting several schemes for the welfare of villages, poors and farmers. At schools, facilities like Mid-Day Meal, free of cost uniform, text-books and bicycle to girls are being provided.
“I have come here to see as to how much benefit of these schemes is being provided to the people of the area. We have always been given affection and blessings by the people of this village,” Sharma said.
At village Tinasyai, Sharma enquired from officers and employees of various departments about schemes being implemented in the area.
He instructed employees of Education, Forest, Electricity, PHE departments and Janpad Panchayat to redress the problems of villagers at the earliest. On the occasion, he also announced construction of Dharamshala and cement concrete road at Devsthan.
