At a meeting held to review preparations for the function, Urban Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur instructed that all related works should be completed within time-limit. ‘Beti hai to kal hai’ play will also be staged at the function.
Gaur said that functions to mark Urban Service Day should be organised at all the urban bodies on November 2. A special sanitation campaign should also be launched from October 25 to November 5.
Urban bodies, individuals and institutions doing excellent work will be honoured at the state-level function. Cultural programmes will also be held by local artistes. Exhibitions will be organised to showcase development works of municipal corporations.
At all the local bodies, a procession of their vehicles and equipment will be taken out on November 2 while cultural programmes will be held in the evening. Exhibitions displaying development works undertaken in each urban body area will also be organised. People’s representatives and people will be invited to these programmes.
Vikas Rath showcasing development works of Bhopal Municipal Corporation will take rounds of various wards of Bhopal from November 1 to 5. Development works will be displayed through LCD in the Vikas Rath.
