The newly appointed general secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Shashi Rajput assumed office on Saturday.
She along with her supporters reached the party office in the form of a procession and assumed office in the presence of PCC Chief Kantilal Bhuria.
Rajput also met senior Congress leaders including Leader of opposition in Assembly Ajay Singh.
Bhuria said that the Congress is giving space to the women in the party under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi. He further assured Rajput for all possible cooperation for the development of the party.
