    Eight public meets scheduled for Maharashtra

    Veteran BJP leader LK Advani will address as many eight public meetings and 35 wayside meetings during his second leg of Jan Chetna Yatra in Maharashtra between November 2 and 5.

    During the second leg of his yatra in Maharashtra, the BJP patriarch will cover 1,050 km. Advani will address public rallies at Kankavli in Sindhudurg district and Kolhapur city on November 2, Satara and Pune cities on November 3, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Talegaon in Pune district and Borivali (west) in Mumbai on November 4 and Talasari on November 5.

    “Besides eight public meetings, we expect Advani to address anywhere between 35 to 40 wayside meetings during the second leg of his yatra in Maharashtra. He will stop over at 60-odd places to meet people and party workers during his journey through out the State,” State BJP spokesperson Atul Shah said here on Monday.

    On November 2, Advani’s yatra will enter Maharashtra from Goa at Banda in coastal Konkan region where he will be received among others by senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, BJP State president Sudhir Mungantiwar and leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Eknath Khadse

    Advani’s yatra against corruption will pass through Banda, Kankavli, Kolhapur, Islampur, Satara, Pune, Talegaon, Panvel, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Bhayander, Vasai and Talasari before heading to Silvassa in Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

    At Advani’s public rally to be held in Pune on the night of November 3, BJP’s national president Nitin Gadkari will specially remain present in view of the fact that the party bagged the Khadakwasla Assembly in the recent bypoll.
