Dhumal flays Centre for fuel price rise
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Friday condemned the latest price hike in petrol.
In a statement issued here, he said that the common man was being crushed under price rise and frequent hike in petroleum products had made
life difficult.
“During past four years, petrol prices has been increased by Rs 25.50 per litre, LPG by Rs 142 per cylinder and diesel by Rs 11 per litre,” he said, adding that the hike in petroleum products had increased transportation costs of essential commodities thereby affecting prices of the same.
“As a result of the anti-people policies of the UPA Government, the gap between the haves and have-nots was widening and number of poor people increasing in the country,” Dhumal said.
