Maoists kill block chairman in Odisha
The Maoists on Saturday night annihilated ‘another class enemy' Nuapada Panchayat Samiti chairman Sunil Kumar Debangan, spreading panic in the area. Sources said the murder took place near Godhas village in Bharuamunda panchayat coming under the Sunabeda wildlife sanctuary.
The body was recovered on Sunday morning and was identified as that of Debangan.
There were at least five posters pasted on walls stating that Debangan was punished for misappropriating money under various schemes being executed by the block and for acting as a police informer.
