Maid arrested for kidnapping 2-yr-old
A two-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped on Friday by her 16-year-old maid who was anguished over a verbal duel with the mother of the child.
The incident was reported from 803 A-1 tower of the posh Uniworld city in Gurgaon Sector -40. Police have arrested the maid from Chakkarpur village in the city and sent her to a juvenile home. “The maid kidnapped the victim as she wanted to take revenge and to teach a lesson to the mother of the girl child who had scolded her a couple of days ago. It’s not a case of ransom for kidnapping” said a senior police official.
The incident was reported to police around 8 am on Friday when the accused had taken the girl out for a walk. However, after some time when she did not return, the child’s parents grew suspicious and looked around for their daughter. However, failing to trace them the parents informed the police, following which the maid was nabbed.
“Preliminary investigations into the matter revealed that no police verification of the maid was done earlier in the matter. The maid took the victim out of the house for a walk. After collecting the details of the maid, police laid a trap and finally nabbed the accused at around 10 am from her sister residence in Chakkarpur village” he added.
The maid was rebuked by her landlady two days back over a trivial issue. The maid had been working at the residence since the last two months. She felt humiliated and as an act of revenge had kidnapped the victim. A case of kidnapping has been registered in this connection against the maid and the accused has been sent to juvenile home after being arrested by the police.
