Chouhan assures 24-hr electricity to farmers soon
The shortage of electricity and fertiliser crisis issues were raised in the BJP's office bearers and core committee meetings held at State BJP office on Saturday.
In the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and State BJP president Prabhat Jhas, party's parliamentarians, legislators and the office bearers raised these issues alleging that the officials are not paying any heed to their requests.
The Chief Minister assured them for providing 24-hour electricity to the farmers soon. For the purpose, feeder separation work is taking place on war footings. MP Virendra Kumar alleged that IAS officials do not pay any heed to the requests of the people's representatives. Another leader Vinod Gotiya said that the officials claim that they are following Chief Minister's directives.
Another leader raising the issue of corruption in NREGS, stated that this is tarnishing the image of the Government.
The Chief Minister informed that very son a farmers' panchayat would be convened to prepare a special package for the farmers for their benefits. He called upon the party leaders to convert the pro-farmer works in the chaupal discussions. "This year, 60 lakh quintal wheat would be procured in the State and for the purpose registration of farmers has already commenced," he added.
Regarding allegations of opposition, Chouhan said that the Congress has lost its wits after the success of Government and attempted to attack on characters of Ministers. But this would affect the reliability of the Congress, he added.
