EOW registers case against 10 for illegal construction

EOW registers case against 10 for illegal construction
The State Economic Offence Wing has registered a case against 10 persons in connection with alleged illegal construction of a multi-storey building — Sterling Height in New Palasia locality of the city.

The persons against whom the case has been registered include Dr Satish Shukla, Ramesh Ajmera, Kusumlata Garg, Sanjay Shrivastav, Gaurav Chawla, Jai Chawla, Mahesh Sharma, M L Sisodia, Umesh Patidar and Narendra Kuril. The case was registered following a complaint of Rajendra K Gupta.

According to the complaint, the accused had got a map sanctioned on a plot owned by them on the plea that the building to be constructed on this plot would be used by them. However, the accused after constructing Sterling Height building on this plot, sold it to other persons.

The complainant said the accused Dr Satish Shukla, Ramesh Ajmera and Kusumlata Garg against whose names the land had been registered, in league with an architect Sanjay Shrivastav, had signed an agreement with real estate builders Gaurav and Jai Chawla to construct a residential building on this plot. The map of this building had earlier been rejected by the Indore municipal corporation but the accused later submitted an affidavit before the municipal corporation claiming that they will use this building for their own residential purpose.

However, after construction of the building, the accused sold it to some other persons. In this regard, Rajendra Gupta had lodged a complaint with the municipal corporation but the municipal corporation on its part did not take any action, apart from serving a notice on the accused. Subsequently the complainant lodged a complaint of this building with the Indore rang IG who had ordered Tukoganj police to probe into the matter.

Later a complaint was lodged with the EOW Bhopal along with the supporting documents.
