    Police Dept to bear expenses of martyr Home Guard’s children
    The Police Department would bear the expenses of coaching and study of children of martyr jawan of Home Guard Jitendra Parihar.

    This was stated by Director General of Home Guard Nanden Dubey. He said the younger brother of Jitendra would be given appointment in Home Guard.

    Dubey had come to Gwalior to attend the last rites of Jitendra who was shot dead by the miscreants in front of Surya factory in Maharaj Pura Industrial area in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The police have started expediting efforts to arrest the miscreants. The IG police has announced a reward of 5,000 each on the heads of the accused. The police is trying to identity the miscreants and the weapon used by them. The police is also trying to find out why the miscreants fired as soon as they were challenged by the patrolling party. The police is also trying to know whether the miscreants had committed some big incident of loot and dacoity. The father of Jitendra Parihar Rameshwar Dayal Parihar is presently posted as head constable in Bilaua police station in Dabra tehsil and his wife Sunita is posted as a nurse at the Government dispensary in Tighra.

    The Police Department has started efforts to transfer them to Gwalior city to look after Jitendra’s children. Dubey said that the IG police and SP Gwalior would hand over a cheque of Rs 3.2 lakh as an assistance for death on duty to the family of Jitendra Parihar. Rs one lakh more would be given to the family of the martyr as a special case within a week. Preparations are also being made to provide immediate service to his younger brother in Home Guard.
