Police team in Lucknow to trace Bangladeshi boy
A team of city police is camping in Lucknow on lookout for the mentally challenged Bangladeshi teenager, Bishvakanti Bhattacharya, who went missing from Baba Ramdev's Yog Gram Ashram here over four months ago. Senior cops said they are afraid the boy may have fallen prey to a kidney theft racket in the Uttar Pradesh capital.
A three-member police team met Lucknow Senior Superintendent of Police DK Thakur and handed him a letter from Haridwar SSP Pushkar Singh Selal, which sought cooperation of Lucknow Police for the case. The city police team later also checked records of the people who had recently been freed from the clutches of kidney racket mafias in Lucknow.
According to senior cops, police have information that the Lucknow police had recently freed a Bangladeshi boy following a kidney theft racket bust in the city. "Our men are trying to trace the Bangladeshi boy who had been rescued. We suspect that the boy may be Bishvakanti," Selal said
