DU student among two arrested for stealing luxury cars
A first-year Delhi University student and a third year law student from Rohtak have been arrested for allegedly stealing high-end luxury cars.
The arrested have been identified as Nitin (21) and Akshay (19) who, according to the police, were fond of leading a lavish life and thus they got into the crime to impress their girl friends. DCP, (South), Chhaya Sharma, said, "Nitin and Akshay come from good and well-educated families. They are habituated of a luxurious lifestyle. Spending nights in pubs and bars, wearing expensive clothes and watches and moving in luxury cars are few of their hobbies. They did this to impress their girl friends.” Nitin, a resident of Neb Sarai, is pursuing LLB from IMT, Haryana, Rohtak while Akshay lives with his parents in south Delhi's Saket area. He is a first year BCom student in DU. With their arrests, we have solved eight cases of car-theft and recovered seven luxury cars, she said.
