CBI recovers Bhanwari belongings
The CBI on Saturday achieved yet another breakthrough in Bhanwari Devi case with the recovery of the watch, mobile phone and necklace of the nurse from Rajiv Gandhi Lift Canal, near Jaloda, where her remains were thrown after allegedly burning her body.
CBI sleuths with the help of three dozen swimmers of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RCA), also recovered a metal ring, which she was wearing at the time of her kidnapping.
Bishnaram and two other members of his gang, Kailash Jakhar and Om Prakash, who are said to have disposed of the nurse’s remains, were on Saturday again brought to the spot, where they had flung in her cellphone, watch, ring and some other belongings. They reportedly identified the items.
CBI source said that they were hoping to recover some more things from the spot and for this they would take the help of NCG commandos who would be reaching Jodhpur with metal detractors and other equipment.
Meanwhile, the CBI has launched a massive hunt to trace Indira Bishnoi, sister of arrested Congress MLA Malkhan Singh, as it believes she was also part of the conspiracy to eliminate the nurse. She is absconding for the past one month and the CBI has got her arrest warrant.
She was interrogated by the CBI for half a dozen times. But on December 2, when the CBI arrested sacked Rajasthan Minister Mahipal Maderna, Indira disappeared from her village Tilwasani.
In another development, the CBI has recorded the statement of Sahiram, one of the key accused, under Section 164 of CrPC. Source said like Amarchand, the husband of the nurse, he is also cooperating in the investigation and may become an approver along with Amarchand.
