Number of car set to be troublesome: Nath
With growing urbanisation it is expected that by 2050 there will be 382 cars per 1000 people and 32 per cent of these cars will be concentrated in 12 cities only, giving challenges of urban mobility and parking in the country. This was stated by Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath at the valedictory function of the ongoing 11th Auto Expo at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Moreover, he pointed out that the growing disposable incomes in rural areas are a very important change which has spurred the demand of automobile in these areas. The Minister also announced the next auto expo to be held between 5-12th February in 2014.
