Choose your words carefully, BJP cautions Rahul
Accusing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of indulging in politics of separatism by advocating religion-based reservations, the BJP advised him to carefully choose the words he spoke by clearly understanding their connotations.

At a Press conference on Wednesday, BJP vice-president Kalraj Mishra said it was unfortunate that Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid was openly advocating religion-based reservations despite it being against the Constitution. He said Rahul, who often talked about good governance, seems to have forgotten his own words as he was now only pursuing a communal agenda.

The BJP leader added that the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress were hand-in-glove on the issue of reservations for Muslims within the quota of OBCs. Mishra cautioned that the BJP would keep on opposing Muslim quota within OBC reservations as it was injustice with the OBCs. “We have always believed in the principle of justice for all and appeasement to none,” he added.

In reply to a question, Mishra said the Election Commission should take cognisance of the promise being made by Congress leaders to increase the reservations for Muslims as it amounted to violation of the model code of conduct.

When asked about the claim of Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav that his party would contest all the 403 Assembly seats in the state, Mishra said as Yadav was convenor of National Democratic Alliance and he would not comment on whatever he had said.
