EC unveils slew of transfers
Moving ahead with determination to hold free and fair elections, the Election Commission has started changing district magistrates and district police chiefs in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. In its first move, EC changed five DMs, seven district police chiefs and one DIG Range.
According to Chief Electoral Officer Umesh Sinha, the Election Commission (EC) has appointed AK Sundram as the new DM of Hardoi. The post of DM in Hardoi was vacant following retirement of its incumbent AKS Rathore last month. The Commission also removed the DM of Chandauli, GK Tripathi, and brought in Rakesh Kumar in his place.
Similarly, Vijay Pandiayan will replace CP Tripathi as the DM of Lalitpur while M Devraj has been made the new DM of Pratapgarh, replacing Ranjan Kumar.
Aparna U will be the new DM of Ghaziabad replacing Shashi Bhushan Lal. Basti Range DIG Gyan Singh has been replaced by Pramod Mishra and Moradabad SSP NK Shrivastav by Amitabh Yash.
SSP of Bahraich, Ravi Shankar, has been replaced by NK Raghav while Dharmendra Singh has been posted as new SP of Sant Kabir Nagar. Jaunpur SSP RK Swarnkar has been replaced by Upendra Agrawal and Sant Ravidas Nagar SP Gyaneshwar Singh by Shachi Ghildiyal. The Commission has also replaced Unnao SP Prem Narayan by Prashant Kumar II and Etah SSP Krapa Shankar Singh by Rakesh Pradhan.
