    Nitish scorns Maharashtra Cong’s tactics

Taking strong exception to a recent vitriolic attack by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray against north Indians, Bihar Chief Minister on Wednesday took on the Congress for promoting such elements keeping the next civic polls in mind.

“It is the constitutional right of every citizen to go anywhere in the country for jobs. For the sake of electoral gains, such statements have been made at the behest of the Congress,” Kumar told mediapersons before setting off on his Seva Yatra in Siwan.

The Chief Minister also said stern action should be taken against those who make such uncalled for provocative statements to divide the country. “But the Congress Government in Maharashtra does not take any action deliberately, keeping the next civic poll there in mind,” he added.

Kumar also appealed for isolation of such people. “They pass such venomous statements for cheap publicity but the people of the country are watching everything,” said Kumar, adding that the whole country was one.

Lashing out at the Maharashtra Government, he said that there were enough laws in the country to deal with such people, “but one can only wonder why the Congress Government there is not taking any step to curb this dangerous mindset”.

Raj Thackeray had called for boycotting north Indians. “One should not make any business deals of any kind with them,” the MNS chief told his men in Maharashtra.

Sena activists have also been known for beating up people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, accusing them of ruining their State.
