‘Spring has given Arabs hopes of life with dignity’
Arab Spring has raised hopes of life with dignity. This was the gist of the three-day-long international seminar on “Arab Spring: India and the region”, organised by Centre for West Asian Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia.
On the concluding day of the meet on February 17, experts from Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Yemen, and resource persons from Indian academic circles gave insightful presentations sparking debates on social justice, liberty and need for a conducive political system inside and outside the Arab world.
The seminar, inaugurated on Wednesday by Ministry of External Affairs secretary (east) Sanjay Singh, was participated by Ambassadors of Iran, Turkey, Egypt to India, and former ambassadors of India to the West Asian countries.
