    divspan class=BodyText readability=6Mysore: Amidst the protest of natives and various associations, the work on 400 kv high-tension line at Lingadapura in Maldare forest commenced on Sunday . pThe 400-kv high-tension line will be a part of wheeling power from Kudankulam nuclear power project to Kerala. In the backdrop of protest, as a precautionary measure, the police had beefed up security at forest check post in Maldare. Only Power grid officials and labourers were allowed to enter inside the forest. /ppThe power would be wheeled from Kundankulam to Kerala through Mananthavadi and to Kozhikode . /pp br /From Kudankulam a total of 540 megawatt would be distributed to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and the line is being made spending Rs 600 crore. The construction of lines in Tamil Nadu and Kerala are almost complete.
