Das, 59 from Ambalakkara was killed by his wife Lissy, 58. The incident occurred at 11.30 pm on Sunday . As per the statement of Lissy, Das used to torture her daily after coming home drunk. He tortured her on Sunday morning too. p He tried to kill Lissy by strangling her and Lissy in a bid to save herself hacked him with a sickle and later strangled him with her shawl when he collapsed. Later Lissy herself informed the neighbors and confessed to the crime to police. The couple have three children but where staying alone.
