Muhammed, 60, from Vailathoor was killed by his son Riyas, 28 , and later Riyas surrendered before police. The incident occurred at 2 am on Tuesday when Muhammad's wife and children were there. The incident is the outcome of a family dispute as both Muhammad and Riyas are in land trade and act as brokers. The dispute was over brokerage during the sale of a land. Riyas is said to be mentally unstable.
