Adding to their woe his father the producer of the film refused to compensate them. For this Pongal release ?Pokkiri?, the distributors have bought the film at high price and the film has to be a super hit to recover its cost. Also the new ticket rates are not a plus point for the big films.
On the other hand Vishal has been popularizing himself as a hard working actor not interested to stake himself for money. This is the formula his father G.K Reddy and his brother Vikram who has been long in the business brought to play. ?Thamarabharani? producers have marketed the film at reasonable price and even before the release all areas have been sold out. Even if this Pongal film takes an average opening, the distributors will cover their cost. Director Hari has put in all efforts to make ?Thamarabharani? a mass movie with inputs of Vijay?s earlier hits like the wire-rope technique for ?Madurai? and ?Tirupachi?. Vishal also following the path of Vijay is promoting the film as a mass family entertainer.
