Shilpa Shetty has struck a gold-mine with the British reality-TV show 'Big Brother'. Within a few days of her debut on the show, it now looks as if she just might win it thanks to all the sympathetic votes that she's getting now due to the racist remarks that her fellow-housemates had made against her.
But it looks as if all the publicity that the show had been receiving might also cause some serious damage to its future!
One of its biggest sponsors is giving serious thought about withdrawing its sponsorship because the brand doesn't want to be associated with a show with such strong racist undercurrents. That would mean alienating a sizeable portion of the population. The British TV watchdog has refused to intervene and take actions against 'Big Brother' for the time being atleast.
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty, the person in the center of the entire controversy, has decided to withdraw her accusations of racism because she says that the she would have made such comments in the heat of the moment.
