Watching the racist remarks against Shilpa Shetty on the UK Channel 4's reality show 'Big Brother,' about 24,000 emails condemning the show have been received by the producers. The matter reached parliament level. The Indian govt requested action to be taken. One of the 'Big Brother' sponsors pulled out. Many demonstrations have been going on in the north to seek justice for Shilpa.
Now Shilpa is making everyone look like fools.
Seeing support for them lessening and opposition against them growing, the main culprits Jane Goodie and Danielle Lloyd have tried to make peace with Shilpa. They have insisted they did not say anything on purpose and that they were not that bad to make comments based on a person's skin color.
Cooled by that, Shilpa has declared that she was the one who got upset and carried away by the remarks and they had not been behaving racist towards her. This is like smearing clay on those who have supported her.
A lesson to be learnt from this is, do not extend a helping a hand in too much of a hurry to those who do an about turn!
