Mukesh is one of the actors who narrowly missed the status of superstardom. In the early nineties and then for a decade, his comedy entertainers produced continuous hits.
Mukesh is now busy with second hero roles. Last year he played a few roles in superstar films like Udhayananu Tharam, Rasathanthram, Nerariyan C.B.I and Balram Vs Taradas.
And this year too he has a number of films in similar lines, including Sathyan Anthikkad's film, in which he is playing an important role with Dileep.
Mukesh is also playing second fiddle to new age heroes like Prithviraj in some of his forthcoming films.
