Sandhya always wanted to speak in her own voice. Her wish has been fulfilled in 'Annavaram.'
It is the Telugu remake of 'Thirupachi.' She is doing the role of Mallika who did the Tamil role as Vijay's sister. She went to Hyderabad without being able to speak Telugu. During the shooting she tried speaking faltering Telugu, till she ultimately improved so much, she did the Telugu dubbing herself!
She wants to do her Tamil film dubbing too. She's at present acting with Bharath in 'Koodal Nagar' directed by Seenu Ramasamy and wants to dub for her role herself.
Sandhya's next film is 'Yamunavai Kaadhalikkiren' produced by AB Film Garden. One of the produces AC Anandan is the hero. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the film is directed by Santosh of 'Manasellam' fame.
Sandhya, who did not have offers for a while, has been getting some opportunities of late. But she is still a bit upset. While Trisha, Nayantara, Asin and others command half a crore, she is still being given only 7 lakhs per film. She is doing as well as the other heroines, so she's unhappy at being paid so low.
That is justified anger!
