Until a while ago, Gopika was ruling the roost when it came to the girl-next-door roles. Though the two are very good friends, Bhavana's entry in the field sure had taken a toll on Gopika's career.
Producers and directors are eager to sign Bhavana up for their films. Unfortunately for Gopika, she didn't establish a glamorous image in the industry. So masala filmmakers are hesitating to offer her such roles.
Ever since rumors began to surface that Gopika doesn't have that many films with her right now, the megaserial-vultures (sounds powerful, isn't it?) have started to circle her. Gopika is not happy with the new development and she has sworn to never act in megaserials- Tamil or Malayalam.
What Kollywood doesn't know is- Gopika's career is on an upswing in Malayalam. They'll have to wait for a few more years before they get her to star in megaserials.
