'Parineeta' and 'Lagey Raho Munnabhai' are the film that had Vidhya Balan in the lead roles. In 'Guru', she had played an important and very visible role. But with just three big releases, the actress had become a sensation in Bollywood and around the country.
She began to receive plenty of offers but to everybody's surprise, Vidhya Balan began to refuse almost all of them. Some of them were big-banner films. One such film is 'Shankardada Zindabad'. The actress still hasn't quite made her mind up about appearing in the film.
This has started rumors that the actress is very arrogant.
"It is true that I had refused all the big banner films but that has nothing to do with my arrogance. It is also not true that I have some hidden enmity towards them. I always wanted to star in good films. Atleast I'm honest. If I don't like the role, I'm frank enough to admit that I'm not interested in doing the role, unlike others who simply say that they don't have callsheets and misguide the producers," she said.
Rumors are on that her refusal of 'Shankardada Zindabad' isn't final yet. There are talks that she might be interested in doing the film provided the producer increases her pay-cheque.
