Malavika made her debut in Tamil films with'Unnai Thedi.' Though she has acted in films like'Pooparikka Varugirom,' 'Vetrikodi Kattu,''Iyya' and'Chandramukhi,' Malavika shot into prominence through the "vaalameen?" song.
She is at present acting in a few films including'Sabari.' Last month, she introduced her fianc? Sumesh Menon to the press and even announced her wedding date. Accordingly she got married yesterday in Bangalore at the decorated ASC Centre in Bangalore's army quarters.
The bridal couple came to the marriage dais at 12.15pm. In a beautiful pink sari and decked with ornaments, Malavika made a pretty picture. Sumesh wore a beige colored sherwani. The two exchanged garlands and threw confetti on each other.
According to tradition, the groom tied the mangalsutra around the bride's neck at 12.30pm after which both fell at the feet of their parents for their blessings.

Having acted in various languages, Malavika has a wide circle of friends. But only a few stars like Abbas, Urmila, Reema Sen and Sweta were at the function. Only the close relatives were present at the wedding. Through his PRO, Rajini sent Raghavendra's photo and his best wishes to Malavika.
