Finally, Asin has done what she always wanted to- get into Bollywoood with her trump card, 'Ghajini'.
It all began when Aamir Khan saw 'Ghajini'. He was so impressed by the story and director Murugadoss' directorial skills that he agreed to star in the Hindi version. He also was very keen on bringing Asin for the Hindi version.
Finally, when the project was announced, Asin's name didn't figure on the list. A heavy competition was on among Bollywood heroines to bag the role. Ayesha Takia was one of the lead contenders. Priyanka Chopra was signed up to play Nayantara's role but she too had her eye on this role.
Just when it looked as if someone else would be booked for the role, it turns out that Asin just might end up working in it as the heroine!!! She is waiting for an official confirmation from the Bollywood producers.
Meanwhile, rumors are on that Prabhudeva had approached her to be the heroine of 'Shankardada Zindabad' but she had refused because she felt that she wouldn't be able to set sufficient callsheets aside for the role!!!
