When Ajith jumped from a tall building during the shooting of the Tamil version of 'Kireedam', his chronic backache began. The backache was something that had been haunting him for a very long time now.

The film's shooting was on in Vishakapattnam. He immediately came down to Chennai to get himself admitted to the hospital.
"He already had undergone spinal surgeries four times before. These days, we are very careful. Even when the pain is slight, he goes to the hospital to get himself treated. For some time now, he had been busy with continuous shooting. After completing 'Godfather' he rushed to the next film, 'Alwar'. Now he has started working in the Tamil version of 'Kireedam'. The treatment had ended now and he has returned to the sets of the new film," Shalini says.
"The pains first began to interfere with his work when he was shooting the climax of his hit film 'Vaali'. It was so chronic that he used to go to the shooting spot in wheel-chair. His courage is amazing," she ends.
Trisha is his heroine in the film. Ajith's next film is going to be with Shreya, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
