The defeated Indian team is the target of the 110 million Indians who are most upset at the national team crashing out of the World Cup. Cricket fans, ex-cricketers, politicians, just about everybody has been criticizing them. Would the film stars be far behind?
Among Tamil film actresses, Trisha and Sneha are most ardent cricket fans. Trisha cannot get over the fact that her favorite Sachin and Dravid let us down. "We don't have team spirit. Theer's no unity among our players. That's the reason for our defeat," complains Trisha.
More than anger, Sneha is disappointed. "I never thought they would let us down this badly. We should remember that defeat is the first step to success. With this in mind, we should play well from now on," says Sneha in her philosophical tone.
The only person who views our cricketers with a little sympathy must be Prabhu. "In a game, one has to contend with victory as well as defeat.
The Srilankans played well, so they won. Let's think of the matches we have won and be positive," says Prabhu compactly.
Will the irate fans be pacified by this?
