"No sis/mom roles for me"- Malavika

Malavika had got married to her fianc?e Sujesh at a small family-ceremony earlier this month. One of the reasons why this was kept tightly under wraps is because she didn't want her films to get affected due to this.

"Just because I got married, don't assume that I'm going to switch to playing mother and sister roles. I'm presently working in a Tamil film in which I play the dual roles of a mother and daughter. The mother role isn't that of a woman with gray hair. She's a young mother. Frankly, there is nothing wrong with acting in such roles but I'm too young to do so," she says.

About Sujesh, her husband, she says,
"I had first met him at a film party. It was a filmmaker who had introduced us. We ran into each other at many other parties too and that was how the relationship began. Our families didn't object to the marriage. That was why everything went on so smoothly," she reveals.

There is one problem- so many other heroines too had made such statements about not doing sister or mother roles once they get married. They were bigger heroines than her, but they have all vanished now. Let's see if Malavika breaks the pattern.
