These days, Bhavana is working simultaneously in two Tamil films- 'Vaazthukal' with Madhavan and 'Rameshwaram', a film about Srilankan Tamil refugees.
In the film with Madhavan, she plays the role of Kayalvizhi, the youngest daughter of a large but affluent family. She has set aside two weeks' call sheets for each film.
Though she is fast establishing herself as a versatile actress in Tamil, Bhavana still feels that she hasn't got the kind of roles that would really bring out the performer in her. She says that there won't be any film in the future that revolve around heroines or have performance-scope for them.
"If an actress wants to win an award for her performance, she needs a good story and a good role. Otherwise she is simply going to be an actress and not a good actress.
"I still am just a newcomer. I still have to travel a lot before I become a well-established and leading heroine. Quite a few of my roles were very well received by everybody but I still haven't worked in any film that would be talked about for another 20 years or something. But I'm hopeful that I'll get that kind of role someday," she says.
After the resounding success of 'Chota Mumbai', many expected that she'd accept more offers in Malayalam but she seems to be more interested in her Tamil projects.
