Tamanna, the sexy Punjabi girl is Sarath Kumar's heroine in Azhagiri, directed by Suresh for producer Ramesh Babu ( Pokkiri) under his `Kanakaratna movies` banner.
Tamanna who made her debut in Tamil with KD also did Vyapari with S.J Suryah. She is one of the new girls from Mumbai who has made a name in the south doing Tamil and Telugu films. Tamanna is the heroine in Balaji Sakthivel's (Kathal fame) next film which will start rolling from May 7 in Chennai.
She is currently in Hyderabad for a film titled Happy Days. In Azhagiri, Tamanna plays the role of a girl who is very practical and is a big source of moral support to the hero in his political rise.
Azhagiri is an action based movie and is a remake of Lion, a Malayalam film which is a political thriller,with Dileep in the lead. It was remade in Telugu by Dr. Rajasekhar as Evadaithey Nakenti , which also turned out to be a hit.
