The Malayalam film 'Classmates' holds the record of being the biggest blockbuster ever in Kerala. It was only natural that our filmmakers got impressed by the film and its performance and wasted no time in buying its remake rights in Telugu.
The film is about a group of college mates who reunite after about fifteen years when their now-retired professors organize a party. Sumanth, Ravi Varma and Sadha had played the lead roles.
