Prakash Raj and Pritviraj seem to have started a mutual admiration club after they had a good time working for Mozhi. They compliment each other and shower praises on each other wherever they go.
And now Prakash has finally decided to go ahead with his Tamil remake of the Mohanlal classic Udayananu Tharam from Malayalam, with his Mozhi script writer Viji making his debut as a director. The Tamil version has been titled as Vellithira.
Originally Prakash wanted Trisha to be the heroine, but has now settled for Gopika to play the role of a movie star made memorable by Meena in the original. Pritviraj, the current favourite of Prakash Raj will do Mohanlal's part. Prakash himself will don the role of the buffoon superstar, which was the highlight in the original done in tongue- in- cheek style by Sreenivasan.
Vellithira is sure going to rock, as it will also be a perfect pad to make a dig at Tamil cinema's all pervasive star system. Viji who has been in the industry for years, is an excellent script writer. The film will start rolling in June.
